As this club is both my first and close by, I have always had a special fondness for it. But my most recent visit on 3/25 has sent my opinion downward.

Arrived around midnight on Saturday night. The club was packed, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. What I noticed right away is that the dancers were doing 3 sets on stage instead of 2; as I confirmed later with one of the girls, the club was short of dancers. My observation was that none of the girls were fired up to give lap dances, most were hanging out at the bar instead of trolling for dances, including the two long-time dancers that I saw. Even the girl that is my particular all-time-favorite didn't venture forth from the bar until after her stage dance... I made a point of being at the stage and making small-talk while there. To her credit, she remembered me and sought me out afterwards, then offered me a lap-dance that is the standard low-contact dance that Choo-Choo's has been reviewed for. After last February's trip down south, a DC-metro lap dance leaves a lot to be desired -- I guess I've been spoiled and will be driving south of Virginia in the future. On a positive note, my ATF was as nice as she has ever been, and we talked up a storm during the dance... just don't expect any mind-blowing sessions. The dancers themselves are mostly easy on the eyes, my ATF is a solid 9 in my book, there is another dancer named Devon who in my opinion is an 8, then there are the rest who weigh in around 6 or 7. No one makes you shudder and wish you were elsewhere.

I rate a "5" on the scale because of the low mileage and, this time, lack of interest on the dancers' part to get their butts off the bar stools and mingle. I may have to break down and make a Baltimore trip in order to make a comparison between the two cities. Until then, Choo Choo's is a flat middle-of-the-road club between my Leather and Lace, Gastonia review and clubs like Camelot in DC which are look-and-don't-touch unless you are a several-thousand-dollar regular.
