Interesting Visit

There's no need to go into detail about the club itself - just about every review gives the nuts & bolts of HL prices, the raid, the downturn and what may be the recovery (we'll see.) My visit was on a Friday afternoon which used to be the end of the week party at the HL, but still has yet to recover on that front. The place was quite full though compared to a a couple months ago when I last visited. As many others have mentioned, if you get to HL before 5pm, there's no cover charge.

Very shortly after arriving, an attractive (probably a 7.5) dancer I hadn't seen before caught my eye as she did her dance on the main stage. She was a kind of quirky girl, probably late 20s. I forgot her name but remember she said she was there dancing to support her 3 kids (who knows if that's just her strip club story - most girls have them and some even have an entire alternate identity it seems.) Whether true or not, there was something very sexy about her quirkiness, so after her stage dance, she came to my table for a few $10 dances on the floor. From there we headed to the VIP.

Here's where I forgot the cardinal rule I have written about before: negotiate before going to VIP. I think it was because it was the end of the week, I was tired and just wanted to relax. But haggling has no happy hours. If you do as I did and forget to get all the numbers ahead of time, you'll spend A LOT more than you would have. So back to the VIP - no complaints about the dances, but after a very satisfying 3 or 4, the bill was probably double what it could have been. At least the "3 kids" are eating better - but lesson learned.
