Could have been worse.
Maybe I have set my expectations too high, but I was not that impressed with this club this go around. Was here in late April, and maybe it was just an off day. But if it was an off day, it was such that I got a feeling of "meh" from everyone. The bartender at most clubs is generally very positive from my experience to help get the customer in the mood for spending money (happy people spend more - sales 101). However, the bartender just said "yea" when I walked up to the bar. I politely asked for my drink (Can I please get a jack with a bath of coke?) and all she said once she made it was the price and held out here hand. If it was busy, maybe this would be okay. But it was a Wednesday evening and I was the only one at the bar and one of only four customers visible in the place. I feel like there should have been a much more polite interchange from her. When I sat at the stage to tip, I would tip $1 per song to the dancer and generally $2 on the last song if lots of dancing was done in front of me while nude. I was relaxing and having a good time sipping my drink and decompressing from the day. I had a couple dancers offer VIP or private dances, and I declined - was still sorting things out in my head and also waiting for the right dancer to catch my eye. Then, one dancer, when I declined, told me it wasn't right to just sit here and watch but that I needed to buy dances. I told her that I wasn't just watching but was making sure I tipped each song since I was sitting at the stage. She then said that tipping on stage wasn't enough and that I needed to spend more on the girls by buying dances. I generally do buy dances once I have tipped for a while (generally 20-40 songs) while I figure out who I want buy dances from, I figure sitting at the stage and tipping every song is just fine. On a rare occasion no dancer meshes with me and I do just tip and drink and after many songs and ~ $100 dollars I will leave. However, this is the first time a dancer has ever told me that "just tipping at the stage wasn't enough." I have had plenty communicate they wanted me to have more fun than I would if I just stayed at the stage (and about half deliver on that). But never has a dancer acted like I was doing them wrong by "just" tipping at the stage. Needless to say, when this dancer came on stage I "needed" to go face the grumpy bartender for a refill and didn't return until she was done dancing - tipped the next girl double to make up for it and because she was polite earlier when asking me if I wanted a dance. Did not end up feeling the vibe from anyone and left to go back to my motel room after about 2 hours.
