The Best of the Bunch for Now
Raleigh isn't a great town for strip clubs. It's not really a good town for strip clubs. The club with the best mileage is Amnesia, but most people reading this wouldn't be comfortable there. Other clubs I'll get to later.
This place seems to be on the upswing. Last year I dropped by a few times and was not impressed. At the time it was the second best club in town, with a couple of standout dancers. But there was something off about the whole setup. It takes forever to see their entire lineup because girls are hiding in the dressing room most of the time on dayshift. Dayshift was dominated by regulars crowding the girls, and there were some dancers who were just in the way with the hard sell. I'm fine with regulars, but it takes too long for the club to get through its rotation because no matter how slow the club is they're doing three song sets. That's still the case. During the night shift the girls are ping ponging trying to hit their regulars and drum up new business when on the floor. It might not be that way early on nights, but by the time I got there the place was usually packed.
The crowd was not really a problem. It's like any other crowd with a mix of PLs, newbies, and wannabes. The problem was at night the staff seemed so overwhelmed they didn't know who was on shift. So you were either sniping dancers to get time or waiting for who knows how long. This is not a place where you need to drop a lot of cash to snag most dancers you want, it's mainly about timing and approach. At some clubs the dancers are all about hustle. Strippers here who are hitting their numbers each night will leave cash on the table if you give off the wrong vibe. There are no obvious ROBs I've run into, but you will get taken if you cross the wrong girl and stop paying attention. Club management seems hands off except for getting their cut.
