Dancer's Den
Made another stop at Dancer's Den because it's close to home. There were 5 customers, maybe 3 dancers, all African American. The music was overly loud, so I could barely hear the sales pitch. Was approached by one dancer, she was quite friendly and very pleasant but not my cup of tea physically. I will say that she insisted on buying me my first drink. I've been to a lot of clubs and that's never happened before. Maybe I just looked depressed, or maybe she was bored. No other dancers approached me, the patrons and bar tender looked at me (the only white guy) like I was crazy for coming in. I never felt threatened, but I never felt really comfortable either. There seems to be very little privacy - the "VIP" is blocked off by a curtain but is otherwise open to the main floor. There is no stage to speak of. I stayed for the one drink the dancer bought me, then made my excuses and left. I felt bad, so I tipped her the price of my drink plus a couple of bucks.
