sinclair's Review
I visited the Tex Mex Lounge a little after 20:30 on a Friday night. I parked my car and upon entering the door, some guy in a windbreaker told me it was $10 to park after 19:00. This pissed me off and I thought about just leaving, but I paid it because it was raining and I wanted to drink. I found out later that if you park behind the club, they do not charge you for parking. I wish this was made clear beforehand, instead of scamming unsuspecting patrons out of $10. The cover charge was $10. A Sincweiser was $4. I left $1 for the bartender. So by the time I got to take a seat, I had already dropped twenty-five greenbacks.
Tex Mex Lounge is huge inside. There are three stages, a massive main stage and two auxiliary stages. By around 23:00, all three stages were in use. There are pool tables on the left side of the club and a car parked near the washrooms. Lap dances take place in a separate room, but it is wide open, well lit, and offers no privacy. Lappers are $20 per song and take place on red couches. Lap dances are full contact. Bouncers do walk into the lap dance room. The VIP area is upstairs and costs $160 and includes a bottle of liquor. The champagne room is $400 and includes a bottle of liquor.
All but one of the two dozen or so dancers working on Friday night were Latinas. Most of them were bilingual, but a couple of them seemed to only know Spanish. Most of the dancers were what you’d call average, curvy, or thick. There were no spinners, and only two or three dancers would fit the label of skinny or athletic. The vast majority of the dancers showed evidence of having kids. I would’ve fucked only around ten or twenty percent of the entertainers on the Friday night line-up.
