Always the Same

Gatsby's has a decent amount of positives going for it. Compared to some of the other Akron clubs, it has a good layout and is probably the cleanest (restrooms included). The drawback of the physical part of the club is the pothole covered parking lot, you need to use some of your best Mario Kart driving skills to get in and out of the parking lot. Beer prices are on par with the rest of Akron, they're high but they're not gouging you. The girls are probably the best looking in Akron (take that for what it is worth). However, the atmosphere is not that of a strip club and this is my biggest negative. Sometimes I want to drop in have a beer, get a lap dance and be on my way. Gatsby's doesn't work like that, you have to invest a lot of time. The girls don't seem interested in making money or giving dances, they seem interested in talking to the guys at the bar. Some guys love this, they'll sit there for hours on end chatting up the girls and drinking beer...but that's not what is supposed to be happening at a strip club! If you are lucky enough to get a girl to dance for you, they do a pretty nice job and the VIP is good. I don't think there is any chance of extras. Once a girl was getting pretty physical with me, starting to undo my belt and then the bouncer decided to come in the VIP...didn't say anything, but just sat down at the table and started doing some paperwork, a little weird? I keep going back, because I prefer quality girls and there's a better chance of me running into some here then anywhere in Akron.
