Old school guy, old school club
Saturday afternoon, and enough dancers and patrons to have two stages going. For my experience with Pandora's, that's pretty hopping. The vibe at Pandora's in the afternoon is the same as it ever was: most of the dancers will stop and chat, no one seems in a hurry, and the couple of dancers I turned down for VIP action took it in stride. It reminds me less of the fast-paced hustle of the original Rick's and more of the laid-back atmosphere of Honey's in its heyday. Yes, the interior could be use some TLC - but if you're going to strip clubs in Washington for plush seating and high-end ambience, you are in the wrong state.
The dancers on the day shift are still an interesting mixture of veterans and rookies. A dancer from a bygone era recognized me and convinced me - with some pleasant flirtation - to join her in the booths. Got some turn-back-the-clock prices and had a great R-rated time.
