This is a couple of reviews from two visits a couple of weeks before the club was added. Not quite sure how to review a brand new club. But here goes. Booby Trap On the River (BTOTR) has been open for less than two months now. It is located in an industrial/port area near the airport, and it's not a place you accidentally pass by, you're deliberately going there. It's also a somewhat difficult place to get to. Traffic around there is always terrible, and the actual street it's on is not easy to find. It is however, now the closest club to the airport. Apparently the site was previously host to two other clubs, so the question is what can BTOTR do to make it. The club itself is actually on a river, and while it is a very industrial river (anyone familiar with Miami knows that soooooooooo many drugs have been unloaded off boats in this river area), not a pretty river, they have a back patio with lounge chairs and a bar outside on the water which is kind of nice. They also have the kitchen out back there. Apparently you can also dock your boat on the back.

First visit was on a Wednesday. There was a sign outside that said parking was 3.00, VIP Parking 10.00. However at the time I arrived, about 5:45PM, no one was taking money for parking. 10.00 admission, which is a bit much for the afternoon but expected for BT club in Miami. Drinks are half price until 7pm (3.50 for my beer). The club itself is quite nice, maybe because its brand new, so your feet don't stick on the floor just yet. But the place looks and feels like a modern strip club. You enter and there is a long bar on one side. In the center of the club is the main stage, and there appear to be two secondary stages north & south of the main one. On the other side of the club across from the bar there appears to be an elevated vip section with a fourth pole. Likely some other VIP booths in the north & south of the club. It looks like there is a lap dance room behind that seating on the north side of the club. The space is kind of tight though, so I can see on a crowded night it being difficult to move around.

At the time I came in only the central/main stage was in use and in terms of space it seems that only one dancer could be on there at the time. Girls were doing a three song set, with the standard: clothed, topless, nude. Dances themselves were decent, for the low key vibe of the club at that time, no zombie walking around the pole. Girls do a tip walk after, but at least for this time of the day only from the girl who just got off stage, which is no problem for me. Only got asked once if I wanted a dance, from probably the cutest girl in there at the time. There were about 9 dancers in the club, although it seemed as if more were appearing. It's hard to grade a new club, as they're still in the process of hiring talent (there is a sign outside saying they were hiring), and it was during the afternoon shift. For the time I'd say the talent was decent, girls did appear to be a bit more natural, and a some on the meatier side, but not all. One AA, and maybe one white girl, with the rest Latina. Not quite the Booty paradise of Booby Trap Doral, at least on this shift. The way the club was setup, with the stage being centrally located, ample VIP sections & the lounge area outside (with boat dock), it seems like the place is built to be a party vibe/social clubbing spot rather than a hardcore PL club. OK place to spend an afternoon. I only had a short time to spend in the club, and didn't have the ability to get any dances or anything, so just to check out the vibe of the new club.
