Great girls, fantastic dance, mundane atmosphere
My buddy kept telling me how good the girls are now compared to when he went a few years ago, so I gave Zanzibar a try and had a fantastic experience, although my opinion is a bit skewed due to the circumstances. I was unsure of this club because most of the stage shows are unenthusiastic among other things, but he convinced me to go. One thing I did like about Zanzibar more than the other clubs in Toronto is how the girls build rapport rather than ask for a dance within 30 seconds. Some still try that, but I'm rarely interested in those girls even if they are super attractive.
It took a couple of trips before I decided to get a dance. I went with my buddy on a Friday night first to get a sense of the club. It was busy, but not packed and a lot of girls came over to us, usually in pairs. One girl who sat at our table was a bit weird in her approach acting like she was on a break (I don't get stripper shit sometimes), but she was cool, so I gave her a small tip. We chatted to a few more girls, but I wasn't feeling an excited vibe, so we went to Brass Rails after our first drink.
The following week we returned on a Thursday around 10pm to Zanzibar and it was not so busy. The girls seemed to be more passive than usual. I noticed the girl I tipped from the previous visit and she remembered us from the last time. I wanted to have a better experience, so I bought her a shot and we talked for a good time before one of her stripper friends joined us. I wasn't paying attention to the 2nd girl cause she was chatting with my buddy but the 2nd girl had a shot too and at this point it was time for the dances.
