What happened to Jax?

Wow Jacksonville seems to have officially fell off the strip club radar. Was up in north Florida handling business and wanted to get out and enjoy the nightlife. I use to live in Jacksonville and had many good times in the strip clubs here. Luckily, I knew where to go. Got it in the car and headed to a club locally known as Mirage. Not listed on Tuscl but I’ve had some great times here in the past. It’s located across from Andrew Jackson on Main st. To my disappointment, I rolled up and this place was closed. WTF? I was just here in June of last year. What happened? Not sure if it’s permanently closed but on a Wednesday night, it was not open. Ok cool no worries. Hopped in the whip headed to the world renown The Silver Foxx. This place is a staple in the community. This was my introduction into the PL and stripclub world back when I was in college. Every time I’m in town, I pay homage to this place for paving the way lol. Riding down beaver st, I pull up to the foxx, and this shit is…yup you guessed it, also closed. Ok now I’m pissed. Asking myself is someone playing a sick joke? How is it possible that both of these clubs are closed. The Foxx has an active IG page so I know they were just closed maybe because they don’t do much business opening on the weekends only. #maybe. So by this point I’m at a loss for words. We have two options now, mascaras or bottoms up neither of which I’ve had pleasant experiences at in the past. I knew bottoms up had a VIP area and in the event I wanted to go for some extras, this would be the only place to do it at. So off I went. Got there around midnight, payed $10 to get in. All AA with maybe 7 dancers on duty. No real lookers but a few thick ones that I could potentially work with. Got a few hennessy on the rocks for about $7 bucks a pop. This club is spacious but I’ve been here when its packed and its not very many places to stand. They do have hightop chairs at the bar which could make for some good dances. Jacksonville clubs are like Tampa clubs in the sense that there is no real price per dance. Dancers just come and dance in front of you, most of the time without asking permission and you are expected to just throw ones at them. So real seasoned PL’s or the ones dancing with girls who aren’t paying attention can get a good number of dances with good contact without breaking the bank. Most of the seating is in a high traffic areas so no real privacy. I did accomplish my goal though. Saw this tall, slim chick I knew back in the day from the Foxx. Ended up going to the VIP with her. Gave $25 to the bartender and then went to the back. All was on the menu but just settled for a nice HJ. Think I gave her like $60. Probably could have gave much less. She seemed like the only one who was bought the business that night.

Bottoms up IMO can be a great place to go. But like most black clubs, they do have a party like atmosphere at night. Bottoms up also has a dayshift if I remember correctly. May not be a bad idea to check out if you’re in the area. I feel like the less patrons there, the better time a PL will have. You only need one dancer to make your day/night. But the fact that both Mirage and the Foxx were closed is staggering.
