Though Danny's continues to try to mine the "upscale" strip club clientele of Jackson, they're really not any classier than any of the other places left open after the big event a few weeks ago (cf. Centerfold club page). I've been into Danny's off and on for several months, and it's never really a positive experience. Sometimes they double, triple charge you for a drink. Sometimes the old coked out black "mama-san" is a royal bitch to you. Sometimes she and the wait staff don't even notice you. Sometimes your chair is broken, or sopping wet. Sometimes hot girls get up on stage. In general, it's a sub-par experience, but not so bad that you get angry enough to leave. I don't quite get how they make enough money to stay open, the only people in there are unfunded Latin migrant workers and twenty-something act-tough white kids who never spend more than $3 on a beer. Weak at best, but that's mostly Jackson's doing, and if the mayor has any say he'll close down these legal establishments for their having broken no laws and their activities will be found to be entirely within the scope of what legislators have made legal and therefore he will close them. Go figger.
