Fell Off the Wagon

I stopped doing the strip club scene for almost 2 years. I've had moments of weakness, but satisfied them with an occasional escort or at massage parlors. But, on this particular Monday, I was feeling low and needed more than just "extras". Maybe a few minutes of forced conversation or just some time to sit back and enjoy the beauties. I've been to California Girls once before and nothing has really changed. The quality of girls seemed to go down slightly, but that changes week to week. It's a little pricey to get in ($10) and the drinks are going to cost ya. The lap dances are $10-$20 per shortened song. They have a "VIP area" which is just an open area behind the DJ where the guy sits there and the girl dances in front of him. Not worth $60. The other lap dance area is rather nice and more private, but this isn't a club where you're going to get anything more than a girl sitting in your lap.

The only real "issue" this night was the lack of dancers. Five dancers were on staff, but for nearly 10 minutes, the stage would be empty. I ended up striking up a conversation with another gentleman and he also noticed the lack of girls onstage. I didn't rate them too much lower based on this, because it was a Monday and I think they just got more business than expected. I didn't notice it as a problem the last time I was there.

I'm tempted to go back, only because it's within a half mile of my residence. It's fairly laid back and kind've a nice little place to chill. It's just far too easy to blow $100-$200 there and then have to spend another $200 to take care of the excitement. No thanks. There are higher mileage, more cost effective options in Orange County.
