I went to this club on...
I went to this club on March 7, primarily out of curiousity to see how it compared to the neighboring (and corporately-related) PT's Sports Club. Some dancers at PT's told me that the dancers at Penthouse were better looking than at PT's, but stuck up, and would not make conversation, outside of "wanna dance." I found that statement to be half-true. The dancers at Penthouse are, on average, better looking than at PT's, but not stuck up. I found them quite friendly. A sign on the wall at Penthouse says," Where the magazine comes alive", and their hiring practices seem to reflect that, with an emphasis on tall blondes. I prefer brunettes, and found a couple that I liked. There were no girls dancing who should not have been dancing, although obviously not all will satisfy all tastes.
Physically, the club is designed in such a way to make it appear as though it is much bigger than it is, with various screens, multiple height levels on the floor (dangerous around men who have been drinking, I would think, but good for business). The price structure seems the same as at PT's--$40 VIPs, 3/$100. Drink prices are also apparently the same; I paid $5.50 for a well brand cocktail. VIPs are done in booths that are a rather open, and don't allow much potential for true privacy--closed on three sides, but at least half way open on the fourth side.
