When Not to Visit Bourbon Street Clubs

I'm going to give this club a pass.

Got there about the time they opened during the noon hour, and right around the time one of the dancers walked in look in street clothes. She looked cute, and didn't seem like she'd need a lot of work to get ready. Who knows how long it took her to get ready, because that was all I saw of her that visit. Took a quick look around the club. It's not that big on the main floor. The clubs are basically townhouse style buildings, so they are narrow but deep on the interior. The place kind of had a loft feel to it, with exposed brick on the walls and open ductwork. Nice spacing in the seating area. There were a couple of small runway stages, one in front an one in back. Heard there was an upstairs but didn't go up there. Took up a seat at the bar in back, and Robert the bartender was getting set up for the day. He was nice enough to give me a rundown on how the clubs were set up on Bourbon Street and which ones might be open that time of day. Since they had no girls ready, he gave me a free drink and suggestions on how to kill time. Probably a half hour would be enough for a couple of girls to be down from the upstairs. Went by another club that'll remain nameless, but did drop back.

No girls were ready when I went back, but there were a couple of other guys just hanging around chatting up the club staff. This place is probably a spot I would be willing to check out again during peak hours, and out of the four clubs I walked into would be the one where I'd hang out for a bit. Only three of the four are getting reviewed, since I was only in the fourth for about 30 seconds on my way back to the car. At some point one of the club employees called up to the dancers for a second time, and one of them was coming down. There's an elevator off to the left of the front bar. The door opens and there is a gal standing there wrapped in a towel. I kid you not. She smiles and is pretty friendly. And stacked. Says she'll be down in about five minutes once she gets her outfit on. She wasn't the girl I saw when I first walked in, but she would be fine just to put the club through its paces. Ten minutes later my lunch set aside time was practically over, so I thanked the guys for the drinks and left.
