Secrets is on the corner of one block. Sharky's is on the next block one way, and Sparky's is on the next block the other way. I've been to both, but not on this trip. Bragg Blvd actually has a crap ton of clubs considering the size of the town. If you couldn't tell from the name, it's by Fort Bragg. If you're around clubs at night you will see military. Lots of them. Not a problem, just something to be aware of for those in town. When I walked in I had the feeling like I'd somehow not been here before. Then I checked my list and I had been there. Must have been one of those visits where I did a quick walkaround and left, which almost happened this trip. The parking lots at the other clubs didn't look promising, and this one had cars so that was settled my decision process. The building looks like it used to be diner from the outside. Last time I breezed through the clubs in town it was after dark so I didn't see as much detail, and it's been probably five years since I was here. Can't remember if I got to Fayetteville last time in NC a few years back. Anyhow, the club has a little lobby section through the double glass diner doors with a door girl at the booth off to the right. NC is a state with memberships for their clubs, but this visit I got a wristband after showing my ID with no cover.

Laid back atmosphere. Lots of regulars, but they kept to themselves. Did not feel unwelcome. Mixed set of dancers, but mostly white. The club had a local bar feel, just with a huge stage in the middle. Runway style with tables and chairs in an L shape around the walls. On the far end of the stage are two pay-to-play pool tables, with a change machine that spits out the four quarters you need to make it go. The dancer I shot a game with quite impressively unjammed the quarter feeder with a pool cue. If you're expecting fancy, this place ain't it. But on the whole I thought it was fine. The back door was open, and dancers regularly rotated from the patio area to the interior club for smoking and to hang out. It was late afternoon, so there was quite a bit of light filtering into the club. I was approached by several dancers, and had no issues getting time with the couple of dancers that caught my attention. Dances ranged from lazy to mechanical cowgirl, done to the tune of 2 for $30, 3 for $50 or 7 for $100. One girl was right in the middle with some nice, coordinated grinding and decent mileage. Without naming names, more than one dancer could have used some freshening up. It's unusual for me to run into more than one in the same visit with that issue.

The MC wasn't annoying but couldn't always make out what he was saying. More than one dancer had the opinion this was the best club in town. I didn't remember it that way, but looks like there was a shakeup a couple of years ago (according the news archives) so maybe it's true. At least it's not pastie land like Texas is now. I'll probably check out more of the clubs in town next time through, just wasn't really feeling like dealing with too many conversations this time out. Only one dancer was a turnoff. She was either a ROB or having a moment of clarity, but she dogged it through one dance and left money on the table. She was cute and had a nice body, but personality goes a long way. Thought she was too good to be there. The last set of dances basically drove me out of the door. Very cute girl with pigtails and nice ass gave a straight up pair of dances that were almost good. For whatever reason, I've run into more bad dances in one quick trip to NC than in the past few years. Must be something in the water. At any rate, this girl seemed new and didn't have a good feel for timing. Borderline painful, but not enough to warrant a tutorial. Done with paying money to teach a stripper how to do a lap dance anyway, at least for any gal below a 9. $15 a dance isn't bad, but she needed more work than I had time to give. Security showed up around 7 or 8-ish, but didn't hassle me at all. The bouncer working the door looked like he could have been SF at some point, maybe working a second job, and was polite. Bartender was also cool. There were a lot of regulars lining the bar by the time I left, and she was chatting them all up. Not a great club, but not a bad club.
