I had not been to Pure Gold for over a year. I usually go there at least once a year when I'm in the area. I used to rate the place pretty high, but I can't say much for it after my last visit. First of all, my membership had lapsed. So, I had to pay for new member ship - $18.00 with no offer of anything complimentary. And on top of that, I had to check my coat - another $5.00 for that, but it did come with a raffle ticket for a drawing they are going to have where a custom motorcycle will be given away. Next, the beers are $4 - no drink specials. As for the girls, I remember a lot better looking crew here in the past. There were couple of outstanding ones, but for the most part, I've seen far better looking women elsewhere. Also the girls seem to hassle you for drinks. They can't order any alcohol for themselves, but they usually con you into buying one and giving it to them. The one saving grace I can give this place is that they always have a girl who gives massages and backrubs for $10 each song. The girl they had giving them that night could really make you melt into your chair with massage she gives. I could forgive the high prices, if only they could get some better talent on the stage.
