The first time I was at Pirates Cove I noticed the smell as soon as I walked in. We were coming in fresh from another strip club and had to hit the bathroom straight away upon entering, so besides the smell, the first impression I got was the bathroom situation. The men's bathroom is small and awkward. To get to the women's, you actually have to pass through the dancers dressing room. I've heard a few accounts of things going missing from the dressing room, with suspicions that it was customers. That is beside the point.

As we pulled ourselves up to the bar, we watched point blank as the bartender grabbed a filthy wet rag and wiped down the sticky bar in front of us. Then using the same hand he just held this filthy rag with, he grabs two glasses by the rim to make our drink orders. He fills each one with ice, then uses again that same hand to lightly compact the ice into the glass. We just accepted it with a look at each other, paid for our drinks and took a seat near the stage.

I have a friend that dances at this club currently. I've gone in on an occasion or two to say hello to her. She loves dancing there. All the girls that dance there seem to like it there according to her. Until two years ago a dancer named Fabiana danced there. She is one of the most genuine and sweetest people I know. She went from there straight to night shifts at Lucky Devil. Anyone that knows Lucky Devil knows that that is where the best of the best dancers want to be. So I know that some great dancers can, did and do dance there.
