Monday Night Roulette

With a little bit of time, a little bit of money, and a little bit of opportunity, I decided to give Stir Crazy another chance. I've been here twice before, had an ok time once, and thought it was terrible & walked out another time. But I felt as if I've never given the club a fair shake, so with the aforementioned availability I took a chance & went in.

I don't expect much from a club on a Monday night, so I went in with a fair view of what I may find. I walked in around 10pm or so, and no one was on the stage. Usually this would have been my cue to make an early exit, but I was determined to give the place a chance. Dancers appeared to outnumber customers (about 7 dancers when I walked in), and were sitting around (fair genough if nothing was going on, I get them sitting down). When I sat down & got a beer the DJ called a dancer to the stage as if to say "Oh shit someone's here". The first dancer was actually very curvy and cute, which set a good start for the night. The dancers have varied body shapes, tending to be a bit more on the curvy side. Doesn't seem to be the type of place to find the 19 year old spinner, but since that's not my vibe anyway, I'm fine with what I saw. Soon two dancers made their way over to me sitting on either side of me. They started to shoot the small talk, one a bit more forward than the other. The one who was more forward, had a nice curvy (enhanced body) and was pretty good spitting her SS. Good small talk, gradually pulling me closer, and working her way in. I asked her schedule, and she said she had no set schedule & just came in whenever she felt like it - which spoke to the laid back vibe of the place. Nothing rushed & no pressure. She got called up to dance so I got to see the body a bit more fully, and liked what I saw. Dances in general were uninspired. The forward one (& others) would sometimes lean against the back of the stage shaking their butt while continuing their conversation with a dancer at the bar. Again, on a slow Monday, I didn't expect anyone going crazy on stage, so in this context it was acceptable. There is a tip walk, but its low pressure, and was only coming from the dancer just getting off the stage. The forward one finished her tip walk back at the seat next to me and I gave her a little extra to show that I was interested. A little more small talk then I decide to get the dance. Decent space in the lap dance area (booths separated by block glass - our booth was at the end with a mirror on the side which I liked as you could see the profile of the dancer). Dance was good, mileage was good not super but good. I think partially because the song was Guns-N-Roses "Sweet child of mine". (I have an image in my mind of boring strip clubs with some dancer lazily walking around a pole to "Cherry Pie" or "pour some sugar on me", which to me is a terrible boring vibe for a strip club. Sweet Child of Mine is a good song but not a good song for a lap dance.) Very good two way contact, with her being very forward with letting me know what I could touch, which was everything. As I was really in more of an evaluation mode than a going for it mode, I was content to lay back and let her see what she would direct, and I was pleased with the results. (I did notice when I got home that I had lipstick several places on my face, which I didn't like - I thought dancers stopped doing stuff like that when they ended the body glitter era). Just got one dance as I really just wanted to see how it would go down, and I needed to end the night. A few more dancers came in, and there were probably 10 or so on the floor at that point.

So in summary, like I said in my earlier review. Yes it's a strip club, and not much more. But it is a bit better than I the impression I got from my first & second visits. I wanted to give the place a fair shake, and just kinda wanted to see some T&A, and SC accomplished that mission. Had the vibe been slow like this on a more festive day (Thurs - Sun), I might have been turned off, but for a Monday it was OK. And for people in the south its close. I don't think this is a place I would drive to. But if you just want to see some girls, and don't feel like driving or other hassles it is good for that moment of, I just want to be in a strip club. I'd like to give it another shot on a Friday or Saturday again, to give it a chance on a night where there should be more going on. So it's not a club that I'd go to when I'm on a mission, but for little quick weeknight low key visits, it accounted for itself well.
