I went to Scarlet Lounge on the opening night of it's official re-branding from it's awfully named predecessor, Pitiful Princess. I don't know what I would consider the worst named strip club in Portland anymore? Jiggles closed. Soobies closed. Pallas closed. Now Pitiful Princess!

I'd been to Pitiful Princess once. I was excited to see what the new owner might do to upgrade it, besides the name change. From what I recall of Pitiful Princess, absolutely nothing has changed. The seating area around the stages is a nightmare of haphazardly strewn tables and chairs. It is one of the brightest clubs in the city. The dancers where a little more attractive than I recall them being from my first visit.

I found it strange that after I left there, I stopped by another club and saw who I believe to be the new owner of Scarlet Lounge, with the dancer in the ad for Scarlet Lounge in the latest issue of Xotic magazine, partying it up. What does that tell you about a club when the owner and the featured dancer are at a different club during their clubs grand opening?
