Stopped into JP's th check out the remodeling job. This club has needed some work for quite some time. You can see on some of my previous reviews the complaints about the upolstery in the chairs, the carpeting, etc. Everything is new. New carpet, new tables, new bar, new stage. Unfortunately same girls. As you walk in the door you go down a slight incline into the main room. The new stage is immediately to your right. It is now a single stage about 3' high with a raised bar running the length of the stage merging into the old bar. This is similar to the way the club looked when I first went there in '95. There are poles on the stage, but no mirrors behind. The mirrors are all on the opposite wall where the two stages used to be located. Along that wall are the new tables. They are all the high bar tables with stools rather than the old resturant style. This probably cuts the seating capacity in half, but since I haven't seen the place anywhere near full in years I don't think it is a problem. I chose to try the stageside seat. Too close. I'm sure some guys like it, especially if one of the better looking girls is up there, but I found it almost claustrophobic. This might make some sense if they went to one dancer at a time, the dancer might even make some money being the only one on stage, but they are now going with 2 girls on the same stage, adding to the closed in cramped feel. I moved back to a table. The place does look a lot fresher and better. The dancers however need some upgrading. I hate to be overly critical, but they have one dancer in particular who has no business being on stage. They have a few more who are marginal, and several who you actually want to see. Maybe this place still survives on it's night shift, but the day shift is dying, and it's a shame since this used to be a fun place. It can still be worthwhile if you get a good day and there are a few good looking dancers, but my advice is unless you have a regular girl there and know be ready to be dissapointed. At some point you are likely to see someone up on the stage you reeeaally don't want to see naked.
