Visited: Monday Evening

I went to Cabaret Le Folichon on a Monday evening at 19:30. There was a $2 cover charge. The manager led me to a table in front of the stage. It is customary in Ville Quebec to pay a cover and also a tip to the bouncer who brings you to your seat, but the manager was fine with just the cover charge. A bottle of water was $4.25. Budweiser and Labatt were $8 each. Imports and specialty beers were $9.50. The club has a bar area to the left as you enter. Further down on the left is a large stage with two stationary poles. The entire right side of the club is tables and seating. The lap dance area is upstairs at the back of the club. The rooms are private except for the booth across the way and any other couples walking through to do lap dances. Songs seemed to be full length.

There were only four dancers working while I was at Le Folichon. Three out of the four were worthy of lap dances. At least fifty percent of the time, the stage was vacant. Stage tipping is rare, perhaps due to the fact that low denomination Canadian currency is not paper like American currency. The stage show is mostly a sales pitch to entice patrons to buy lap dances with an entertainer. Here was the early Monday evening line-up:

Elysa: Glasses, short black hair in pigtails, lots of tattoos.

Amy: Blonde, huge rack, maybe age 30 or a little older.
