Strange Day at Pandora's

Pandora's is my default, go to club when visiting Seattle. I figured a Saturday afternoon after an easy Husky win would be a good time to drop in for a visit.

It looked pretty promising when I got there. Quite a few cars in the lot, but once inside it was less crowded than I expected. I always opt for the $10 drink that they will keep filled--I always tip the waitress so she keeps me happy. There were only about 12 girls working, and I expected more, but the good news was that most of them were new and younger than in times past. Pandora's does have a few dancers that are past their prime, but they were not working this shift.

There were two girls working that caught my attention. I've kind of blanked on their names, but they both worked it on the stage. One girl in particular--she was pretty buff and was the best pole dancer I have seen in a long time. I decided that I really wanted some laps from her. It was not to be. As soon as she finished her stage dances she went back to the VIP area. About 10 songs later she came back out for her two stage dances, then back to the VIP. After about 30 minutes I decided I needed a visit to the men's room which allowed me to look in on the not so private VIP. She was all over the guy. Damn. Finally they came out. The dude must have been in his 80's. I had no idea how many bills he must have dropped. But he didn't leave. He sits next to the stage, and she either sits and chats with him or goes back to the dressing room. And the other gal-- that was equally weird. Right after I got there a very overweight gentleman comes in with what looked like Chinese takeout. He sits down next to the stage when she comes out. He tips her a couple of George's while she is on stage. She comes over and talks to him. He goes over in a far corner, I assume to eat. She follows him over, talks for awhile, then goes back to the dressing room and does not come on again until her next stage call. And the same sequence happens several times. She never made eye contact or solicited a dance from anyone. A few girls did come over and ask if I wanted a dance, but my gut told me that air dances were all I would get from them. I waited in vain for almost two hours and finally gave up. I don't get it. How was anyone making money? The only woman that made enough to cover her house was Ms. Pole Dancer 2016. I think I saw maybe two other gals do a very few LAP dances, but not many. It was time to move on. Coopers is just up the road. I can go there and drown my sorrows in some good swill,
