Slow Night at the Cherry

Had a recent trip to the Cherry. First time visiting this club. I had never been to Showcase (which this club replaced). Layout of the club is actually pretty nice; spacious set up with a handful of small stages, a long modern-looking bar. The place seemed clean and had a decently fresh feel. They have a pretty interesting beer selection, especially for a gentleman's club, though no liquor. They also serve food, but I have not quite taken the leap to being able to dine at a strip joint...just a personal hang-up, I suppose. Anyway, on this night I had a few hours to kill being captive in Huntsville and stayed here from around 7ish to 11ish. It was incredibly slow just about the whole time: maybe 5-10 customers, about the same number of dancers. I would rate the dancers between 5s and 7s; no knockouts here. Had a pretty decent relaxing evening however. Chatted with a few of the dancers, and got VIP dances from two or three. Mileage here was pretty good -- not off the charts but I wasn't really pushing it, either. Seemed pretty private though, no mid-dance interruptions or check-ins from the bouncer. I was assured the place was going to get busier but it never really did, at least not before 11PM. I was intrigued by this place enough to return, although I might try to avoid a weeknight next time.
