Go to for area...

Carl's...my go to for the Melrose Rose/Stone Park area...2 things I'd highlight as lessons learned in this review from my last night's adventures...I've started going out to spot during off peak days (sun-wed) to be the center of attention with less crowd attention and that has been good...but I've also began to think...like most Arnie's reviews or reviews of urban clubs in urban areas there's always a mention of safety...but for me safety is the potential of something to go wrong...and like I've mentioned before I always see a very minor incident where security is on someone at Heavenly Bodies...in Melrose Park the high potential for disaster I'm noticing is Louie D's...one visit a patron was too drunk...but most of this potential is from ladies...last night I had a dancer who was not going to take "no" for an answer...she hit me with the drink hustle and was demanding a dance...so I left...it was funny and odd at the same time...my second lesson was in seeing how inconsistent the other spots were with good ladies...I thought JB's had turned a corner but it back to either no dancers in there or less than 5's...it was occasionally getting some young spinners but. ..anyway...Carl's.. always safe, laid back...although they must have had some major incident that made them switch from beer bottles to serving everyone beer in chilled plastic mugs...but it's big, cool from air conditioning, nicely lit, big screens and a familiar face at all times...for when I just need "that" kinda of fun...
