I went to Diamonds Exclusive Men’s Club at 20:45 on a Monday evening. There was no cover charge for me at the door, but I saw people who came in later that night paying a cover charge. The strip club operates more like an exclusive club so they have the right to refuse entry to people they don’t want coming in. The interior is small. There is a circular stage with a stationary pole in the middle on the right side. There are eighteen chairs surrounding the stage. These are banquet hall chairs with white cloth covers put over them to look fancier. On the left is a bar with about five stools. Sincweisers were $5. A sign on the wall notes all cocktails only have 1.25 ounces of alcohol in them.
Dancers strip down to topless at the stage, but must wear pasties over their nipples. There is no contact at the stage. You basically end up tossing your money on the stage and hope the dancer comes by to give you a closer look. There were seven dancers working and all of them were Caucasian. If you seek cocoa concubines, there are two black clubs in Mobile.

Diamonds pushes blocks of VIP time. The offerings are a fifteen minute VIP room for $200, a thirty minute VIP room for $400, and a one hour VIP room with a champagne bottle for $700. I was told there are no longer single lap dances offered at the club since the start of the pandemic, but dancers would do two songs in the VIP for $100. I asked a dancer what exactly could we do in the VIP rooms, and she just said I could touch her boobs and butt. So basically, the VIP rooms are extended lap dances with two-way contact. Essentially, the fifteen and thirty minute blocks of VIP time translate to about $40 per three minute song. The dancers keep half of the VIP fee, and the club gets the other half. Thus, dancers expect a tip if you take them to the VIP room. There are three different VIP rooms. Two are behind the stage, and one is in the back left corner. There is a female host whose sole job at the club is to sell and set up the VIP room experiences. I did not like the pricing scheme at Diamonds because the club is pushing you to commit to spending a large sum of money without being able to do single lap dances with entertainers first to see if there is chemistry. Essentially, it is like buying a truck without even taking it for a test drive.
Smoking is permitted inside and many of the dancers vape. Even though the club is small and divey, it tries to play itself off as an upscale gentlemen’s club. There is a dress code. I initially showed up in a muscle shirt because it was a hot day. The staff told me I had to put on a shirt with sleeves to enter Diamonds. Mobile is not a good city for strip clubs. Diamonds is the best option in Azalea City, but it is still tame and low value compared to many other municipalities.
