Hip Hugger

I went to the Hip Hugger while in town for work. If you are passing through, I suggest you visit this place at least once. Not because it is an amazing club, but because it is a frozen in time. I am not sure when this club was built, but it looks like the last update was probably in the 90s, but the place is well taken care of and surprisingly clean. The beer selection is very limited, but it was cheap. I talked to some of the girls and they commented that the owner is very old school, and does not believe in fixing anything that is not broken. He likes a certain type of beer, and that is what they sell. One thing that I did notice is that the lighting on the stage was MUCH brighter than I am used to. The dancers were all pretty friendly and most of them came around and asked for a dance or two. I hung out for a while and got a few dances. They are performed over on the side of the room in chairs the same chairs that are at the tables. The dances are pretty decent for $10. They are nothing like The Inner Room, but for the midwest they are quite the deal. Dont come here expecting a high end place, but I am not sure it really counts as a dive either. Something comfortably in between.
