Decent; Not Exceptional

The main thing that NY Dolls has going for it is that it is downtown. Which is a significant benefit, if you happen to be downtown. If you are in midtown, rather than downtown, then it is definitely not worth it to schlep down here.

NYD is owned by the same guys who own Flashdancers and Private Eyes. And so, the setup is similar. Dances are on benches along the wall and are $20. Champagne room starts at $600 for 1 hour -- no smaller increments are available. I get the sense that extras generally are NOT to be had in the champagne room. Your girl might possibly be game, but I get the sense that many are not.

The club is nice, but small. There is one main room, which fills up fast. There are only about a dozen small tables -- I was there on a Thursday night and 20 guys basically filled it up.
