Visited: Sunday Evening

Sirens is located in a nice, well lit, well traveled commercial area, so no safety issues going in. Arrived about 9:30 on a Sunday evening. There the parking lot was almost empty. The cover charge was $10. Overall, the place looks decent—not upscale, but not a dive either. It looks like it might have been seen better days, but appears clean and well kept.

Immediately to the right of the entrance is a small room with lap dance cubicles. There is one stage against the back wall, the small bar is in the corner to the left. No smoking is allowed inside, which was nice. There is a door behind that stage that leads to smoking patio. Sirens is not large—it’s smaller on the inside than it looks from the inside—but there were only a half-dozen guys sitting around so it looked dead. The were a couple of older PLs at the bar and few younger guys sitting at tables, all white and/or Hispanic. I took a seat at the bar and ordered a domestic beer, which was $5.75, a bit pricey even for a strip club, but not outrageous. There was a cooker next to the bar with free hot dogs. The bartender also put out bowls of free popcorn.

There was a skinny girl dancing on stage. She was not slender, just downright skinny and anorexic looking. There were a couple of other dancers sitting around. A few minutes after I got there, the DJ called all the dancers on stage and announced a dance special, 3 dances for $40, plus a t-shirt. There was an electronic sign behind the stage saying dances were $15 all day on Sunday, so the $40 three dance special results in a $1.67 savings per dance—what a deal, and who the hell wants a t-shirt from a strip club?
