Kitten's Cabaret

I made a rookie mistake: I went to Kitten's during shift change. Sometimes this can be fruitful, with dancers eager to make an extra buck or two before they go home. Mostly though, dancers are winding down either from a busy or boring day and don't have much enthusiasm left, either onstage or in the crowd. This was the latter - I counted three dancers on the floor and two coming in to work the night shift. (And, despite the high number of cars in the parking lot, about four customers.)

The one dancer who approached me asked if she could sit down. I said yes - and she proceeded to swing her leg over my lap in an attempt to straddle me. Nice move, and would have worked better if I wasn't holding a nearly full cup of coffee. She meant well.

I keep hearing great things about Kitten's, so I'm going to chalk this meh experience to time of day. The club itself is nice, the music wasn't overpowering, the staff was cordial, and for those of you who like to have a booze option, there is an adjacent bar. I plan to return when things are a bit more hopping.
