Porthole closing earlier

Visited Porthole on Wednesday night just after midnight. Porthole has a steady day crowd and slow at night until after 2AM when all the other clubs in the area close - the last refuge for 35 year has been the Porthole open til 4AM. . So most like myself if you choose to go at night it is late at night. I mention this as I was surprised to learn upon entering the club on this Wednesday night - i was informed by the Door man that the club was closing at 2AM - the city was not longer allowing them to stay open past 2AM - with the exception of Saturday nights 3AM closing. On this night - the club was dead but typical for a weeknight in the Summer. It will be interesting to see of the club stays active in the evenings - if the crowd adjusts to the 2AM closing time or does not come at all. We all know if the business goes - the girls go - to other clubs - this could be a fatal blow to this club. As i was leaving the club at 1:30 AM cars were pulling up - so this will serve as a heads up to Porthole fans about the time changes. This comes right on the heels of the City reducing Vegas Cabaret's operating hours as well. Broward County seemingly becoming less and less strip club friendly.
