Trying Not to be a Single Club Reviewer

Going to stick my head out on this club, hoping I don't get that dreaded "club ad" tag at America's #1 single review club (no hating .. love what y'all are doing to keep the reviewer's honest). I've made about five visits to this club, and this review is a combination of those. Truth is, this club is my favorite in New England, so it's hard not to gush.

So let's start with a downside, just to make sure they are out there. The big hit is that it is out of the way of everything but the interstate. Just off of I-84, it's easy enough to find, but you are a good 20 minute drive from Hartford and nearly 15 minutes from the nearest decent hotels. For us travelers, you have to make sure you pace whatever drinking you do either before or after. I hadn't seen any of Tolland's Finest watching for drivers coming and going, but it's better to make sure you keep it safe.

I've only gone in mid-week, and been charged $5 cover. Drinks are cheap - tap beer $3.75 (though just 12 oz), and that includes decent beers. The layout is kinda funky -- where there is a section for the bar and a section for the stage; that separate they aren't bad but kinda two sides of the coin. When you enter, the bar dominates with full square area. It's bright with TVs as if you were visiting any local establishment. You can kinda see the stage from the bar, but there is enough pillars and activity at the bar that it's almost like either you sit at the bar or sit at the stage but not both. Further in is the stage area which is dark & big enough for a couple poles and a couple girls to work it at once. Chairs along the stage, a row of tables, then a row of couches and tables along the wall, there is more than enough place to sit and watch.
