Neighborhood Bar with Dancers

I usually stop in when I'm on the north side on a weekend afternoon. It's been a long time since I have been here at night. The CS is a long time Phoenix institution, and the atmosphere doesn't change much. It doesn't pretend to be a "gentleman's club"; it's a casual, neighborhood bar with dancers. Most of the customers seemed to be regulars, and were a mix of younger guys with a few seniors. Quite a few customers were at the bar area, and the dancers actively approached and hung out with them there. I have never experienced much quick hustle here for dances. The girls will usually spend a little time talking and it's pretty low key. The dancer quality is mid-range to pretty good, with some standouts. Some of the dancers are a little older, which is fine with me. I have never seen a dancer here that I would consider of below average quality, which is becoming more rare. There used o be a kind of goth looking girl here who gave really entertaining stage shows, but I didn't see her on this visit. The contact level varies, but tends to be average and fairly tame. The VIP area here isn't very much different in terms of contact, with nothing over the top. Entry to the VIP area is a little unusual. You "check in" with the DJ and pay an entry fee, which I think is good for re-entry (I didn't).

In summary, it's a nice place to stop by and spend some casual time. I wouldn't consider a major destination club; there are better for that.
