Where are the next generation of dancers?
I have not been to a SC in over six months. My VIP status on TUSCL had expired so I decided to stop at OGD on my way through Akron on Friday so I could write a review. The parking lot was half empty and there were two dancers and a man standing near the door smoking. The dancers had their backs to me so I could not tell if I had seen them before. Inside there were two more dancers with customers at the high-top tables and two customers sitting alone at the bar. I ordered a beer and struck up a conversation with one of the guys at the bar. I asked him if the two dancers outside were any better than the two inside. He told me no and said most of the SCs in Akron have gone down hill because of the drug problem. When the two dancers came back in from outside I could see that I had no interest in getting dances. I decided to leave before I finished my beer. These things seem to go in cycles and I am hoping that a new generation of dancers will appear that will be working to pay the rent, buy a car or pay off debt instead of supporting a habit.
