Not the greatest time

I was in Charlotte for work and after a work dinner a couple of us decided to check out Uptown Cabaret. It was around 8 when we got there and the place was dead except for some very loud, very drunk college kids who wanted to be the center of attention. That was kind of a turn off from the beginning. This is a nice upscale club and no issues taking clients there, except for the college kids. I was actually surprised the club didn't get them to tone it down. As expected drinks and covers were pricey. The talent was decent, there were a couple of real knockouts there and one of the guys I was with took one upstairs and was gone for a while. He came back with a big smile so I think good things happened, I didn't verify. The dancers were very pushy for dances, also another club turnoff for me, but as soon as I made it clear I wasn't interested, each of them took off. After about an hour or so, there was a dancer review and I took one of the non pushy ones for a 2 for 1. I think it was really just 2 very short songs so not sure it was any kind of deal but it was good to see all the talent at once. The dance was so-so, nothing to write home about. Once the guy that had been upstairs came back we decided to leave. Not a bad place to go with the work crew but couldn't really see myself there much on my own accord.
