Monday Night
Stopped by a couple weeks ago on a Monday night since I was in town for business. I arrived shortly after 10pm and was slightly optimistic after seeing a small group of people standing at the door trying to get in (4 guys and 2 girls). Always love a club that has females in the audience as it can add to some extra stage entertainment. Additionally, I noticed that Monday night is 2 for 1 all night long.
Unfortunately, after getting inside, I discovered that the club was full of young gentlemen surrounding the stage watching one entertainer on the stage. I decided to observe from above the stage and monitor the activity. Typically, a girl would get up on the stage, lightly dance for 2 songs, and get little to no money from the large group of young guys (most under the age of 21). When the songs were done, the dancer would go back upstairs, the next dancer would come down and repeat the same routine. Occasionally, a dancer would come down and sit with a guy sitting in the back. It appears that they are club regulars and they would disappear shortly to the private area for a few dances.
Overall, the club has some decent girls working, but the competition for attention can be great. I left after an hour or so. I had $400 in my wallet when I arrived, and still had all of it (minus the cover charge) when I left. Not a single offer for a dance and couldn't get close enough to the stage to tip. I know I could have received a little more attention if I was more aggressive, but I wanted to sit back and observe a little more since I hadn't been here in a while. I still prefer SoCo's as my favorite place in the Quad Cities, but it is not open on Mondays or Tuesday's. Daisy Dooks may have better looking dancers, but I have always gotten better mileage for my dollar at SoCos.
