Not impressed

In Cocoa Beach on business and had three evenings to sample the clubs. The first night I went to Inner Room and it was great. So the second night I decided to try Cheaters. Sorry to say, but it was a big disappointment. First, the place is very small and looks more like a billiards hall that happens to have strip pole. The layout is awkward with most of the room taken up by pool tables, an absurdly small dance stage and no privacy at all unless you go into the VIP room, but that is just a big empty room and also has no intimate feel to it.

I ordered a shot of whisky and paid $6 for it. I was served about a half shot. Now I had just come from IR where for $5 I got a beer and a full shot of Johnnie Walker, so to pay more and get a short pour on top of it definitely got me started on the wrong foot.

I sat back and tried to enjoy the drink in spite of the rip-off and I watched the very small stage. The dancers were clearly not interested in dancing. One basically walked around the pole while checking her cell phone. Others just kind of swung around looking bored. They were ok looking, not great, but not bad either. So one dancer comes and sits with me (uninvited) and starts asking me for dances. I ask how much and she says $20. Again, I hate to compare, but last night I had $10 dances at IR with girls much more enthusiastic and attractive and in a much more private and enjoyable setting.

So I told her no thanks, finished my half shot and went down the road back to IR where I had a great time until they closed at 2AM.

I suppose the customers must like what they get at Cheaters, but if you want a strip club that acts like it wants to be a strip club, go to IR. If you want an expensive pool hall that happens to have topless ladies walking around, then Cheaters may be for you.
