While in Vegas I tried some smaller clubs, the smallest of which was definitely Talk of the Town. It's in a plain, old building not too far from the Freemont Street area. The entrance leads into a glaringly bright store with racks of porn DVDs. It felt a bit like a gas station quick-mart but with porn instead of chips. You have to find your own way; the store minders don't greet you or let you know what's up. Wandering to the back of the store you'll find a hall to the strip club area.

The club is one small room with a tiny stage in the center. There are chairs around the room, and a few couches against one wall where dances are done. Every wall has a giant yellow sign declaring "Alcoholic liquor is prohibited" and "Prostitution is a crime". Every wall. Very strange. Cover charge was $25.00. Coke was just a can out of a mini-fridge (rather than a glass) and was a few dollars.

When I arrived, the place was dead. A couple of patrons, and a handful or so of dancers. The dancers were mostly uninspiring. The dances on stage were just posing. They took turns stopping by and were reasonably friendly, but weren't very interested or interesting. The music wasn't deafeningly loud, but they played the same damn song on repeat. The same one song, over and over. What the hell?
