Sammy’s was the last of the three strip clubs I visited during my recent visit to Pensacola, but it is clearly the best of the three. It’s located near the heart of the business and tourist area downtown close to office buildings, hotels, and restaurants, so the area is pretty nice and safe. There is a well kept and will lit parking lot (free I think, but I just walked from my hotel), and the building has a nice upscale appearance. Cover charge was $5-6, can’t remember exactly. Also don’t remember exactly the drink prices, but was within the norm for strip clubs ($4-5 for beer), or I would remember.

Inside, the club has a nice upscale look—a dark wood bar to the right, set off by rails from a seating area to the left. The stage is to the back of the club. In nooks on either side of the stage are unprivate “private” dance areas. I went late on a Tuesday night and there was a pretty good crowd that appeared to be a notch up from the basically young, redneck crowd I had seen at Babes. Here the customers looked a bit older and more white collar looking. There were maybe 20 dancers working and the quality was quite good. I saw youngish spinners, thickish Latinas, a couple of athletic AAs, and a couple of 30ish MILFs. I like a fairly wide variety of body types, hair colors, and ethnicities, and I liked everything I saw here. My rating: 7-9, clustered around 7.5.

Soon after I took a seat at the bar, I was joined by one of the youngish spinners. She chatted pleasantly, and there was no hard sell, or even soft sell, for dances for quite some time. I bought her a couple of drinks, which were regular price, no lady drink hustle here. Eventually the DJ announced a two for one dance special and she asked me if I was interested. She told me that the regular dance price was $45, but I could have two for $50 during the special. Someone at this club obviously is not good at math, but $50 for two dances is not unreasonable. In my opinion, $45 is outrageous, but $25 per dance is pretty much the norm for dances in many areas. I pointed out the unusual math, but agreed to the $50 for two dances without haggling.
