Babes

After a very disappointing visit to Arety’s Angels, I was pleasantly surprised by Babes, which is a less than two miles away. Babes is not much to look at, either inside or out. Not a dive (like Arety’s Angels), but not posh either. Just your average blue collar strip club. The cover charge was a reasonable $5. I can’t remember the drink prices, but they were within the norm for strip clubs or I would remember by exception. The clientele was mainly younger redneck type in t-shirts and ball caps, plus a few older PLs hanging at the bar (like me). There were about two dozen dances working the floor and the quality was pretty good. They were mostly white spinner types, with a couple of AAs, Latinas, and a few plus size dancers, ranging from 4 to 8 on my scale, maybe even a 9 or two. I chatted with only one of them, one of the plus size girls, who made small talk before asking for a $45 VIP dance. This is a ridiculous price for a dance in a club of this caliber, and if I was inclined to get a dance, it wouldn’t have been with this girl anyway so I turned her down. She then asked if I would buy her a “lady drink” for $20. I will buy into this hustle occasionally if the girl makes it worth my while be acting particularly slutty, but this girl was not even touching me, just sitting at the bar stool next to me, so I turned this down also and she soon departed. I noticed a lot of the girls were sitting with what appeared to be regulars and just hanging out. I had gotten there late due to a business meeting that ran late, so I didn’t stay long. Overall, the eye candy factor was pretty good, and this appears to be a good place to have a drink and enjoy the scenery. Dance prices were too high for me, but I don’t know if they are negotiable or not as I didn’t try. Babes is worth a visit.
