I hadn’t been to Woody’s in...

I hadn’t been to Woody’s in over 20 years, but decided to check it out when I was passing by one evening. After reading the last few reviews, I wondered why I would go, but I thought that it might be a single person with some grudge posting.

In any case, I was no problem with the area. The cover ($8) was a bit high, I thought. Domestic beers, $4.50, about normal. Place was clean and pretty busy. It was a Thursday evening about 10 PM. I sat at the bar and watched some of the stage dancing. The bartender was very nice and kept a cold one there for me. I only saw a single dancer that I would rate under a 5. Most were average. Perhaps 2 or 3 rated a 7. One, a solid 9. I didn’t get any dances. The only ones I saw were just in an area near the bar or back of the club. All air. Some were done nude, and some just topless. I don’t know if there is a VIP area. Some dancers came by and talked a bit, but moved on after a few minutes. There was no pressure for dances.

The band, “Big Dick And The Extenders”, started about 11 PM. They put on a good show. Different to have a real band and not just a DJ. I left a bit after midnight. Overall, but a spectacular club, but far from what some previous reviews state.
