I was at this club from...

I was at this club from ten p.m. to 1:30 close on Monday, January 9. The most conspicuous thing about this club is the "eye candy" quality of the dancers...most I saw were gorgeous. The one 6 I saw was conspicuous by her presence. There is obviously a prejudice in terms of hiring tall dancers with long hair...this would describe at least half the dancers working there. The club is a very upscale appearing place in a crappy neighborhood. I was staying at LAX, and this club was a twenty dollar cab ride with a driver who didn't know where he was going to, and a twelve dollar cab ride back to the hotel with a driver who did. When I left at closing time, there were a number of cabs waiting in the parking lot.

When I arrived, a regular Monday night "amateur contest" was in progress. As is typical, the definition of "amateur" in this case was "dancers from other clubs". The contest was conducted on a long, runway style stage along one wall of the club. After it was over, dances were done on a single round stage. There were two other stages not in use. The stages are surrounded by a bar about eighteen inches off the stage floor. Some dancers seemed to use this as an excuse not to have contact with the customers, while others simply saw it as a challenge to be overcome.

There was a fair amount of diversity in the appearance of the dancers, consistent with the height and hair lenghth, although blondes seemed to predominate. I did not see any black girls or latinas. However, the girls were so good-looking, I did not notice the absence of latinas (a weakness of mine) until well into my visit. The club is nude, although private dances are topless. No alcohol, one drink minimum (I paid $6.50 for a bottle of Perrier). The club was pretty crowded when I arrived, but dropped by about half at the conclusion of "amateur" hour.
