Saturday evening/night

Hit about 5 clubs over a couple days on my first trip to the Portland strip clubs. Really dig the casual, no hustle vibe that is prevalent throughout town. Acropolis was my last stop on Saturday evening. Got there around 8 and still lots of free parking to be had. Parked in the back. Looks like Casa Diablo II is right next door. Didn't check it out though. There was a large food menu on display on the wall at the back of Acropolis. Thought I saw a walk-up window too. That seemed kind of weird, but food is cheap and good so maybe they have some walk-up business. Not why I was there however.

Outside of the building is run-down and pretty dilapidated. Painted in blue and white stripes so you really feel like you're in Greece! Walked in and 2 irritated looking burly bouncers ask for $5 cover. No checking and scanning ID though. Paid the cover and wandered around for a couple minutes. Place is pretty large and just straight-up dive bar feel. 4 large stages throughout the building which can seat 30 - 50 people pretty easily around each stage. Stages are different from what I'm familiar with. Inside the stage the dancer is only elevated a couple of feet. Then there is essentially a counter/rack all the way around the stage about 3 feet wide that is at table height for patrons sitting down. Doubles as a table for food and drinks as well as a performance area for the dancers to get in your face and/or lap.

Walked over to the bar at the other end of the building. Tons of beers on tap. Think they advertise 65. I believe most everything was $4.50 a pint and 10 for a pitcher. Ordered a couple beers and struck up a conversation with a knowledgeable local about the Portland scene. To the right of the bar is the biggest stage. Watched a couple girls perform from afar. Both around 7's. One chick was covered in tats from the neck down. Most heavily tattooed dancer I saw in Portland. A bit thick white girl with black hair and big bolt-ons. High energy performance but not sensual and not really my cup of tea. Got a steak dinner while I was at the bar. I think 12 bucks or so for a pound t-bone, potato, toast, and salad bar. Salad bar was a bit sketchy, but I figured what the hell, when in Rome... or in this case Greece. Food was pretty good. Steak had a bit much fat on it and not very tender. Actually got better steak at other clubs in the area. They actually advertise this place as Acropolis Steakhouse.

By this time the place is in full gear. Probably 200 to 300 patrons in the building. Lots of couples and a few obvious lesbians. Most of the guys seemed to be in groups. At least one bachelor party going on. I was surprised there wasn't too many frat boy bros. I guess since it's Portland they are replaced by hipsters, which there were plenty. I wandered back to the rack in the far back corner because there were still a few empty seats. Watched a few girls. All 7's and 8's. Majority white girls with a few tats. Some with nipple piercings and/or hood piercings. I wasn't complaining. Most of the girls had pretty good energy dances. Lots of hand stands on the rack with heads in guys laps. 1 to 2 dollars per song gets you some attention for 30 seconds or so from most dancers. People sitting at the rack eating their dinners. Stayed for a couple hours and watched most of the maybe 10 - 12 girls I saw on shift. Couple black girls and maybe a couple mixed race. Rest seemed to be white girls. Probably the best all around dancer quality of any of the clubs I visited. Three song sets with full songs played. Didn't partake in any LD's here. Stage shows are the name of the game in Portland.
