Beautiful dancers, if you could find them

I visited Silk Madison on a Saturday night, arriving shortly after midnight. The place was quite busy. I had to park fairly far from the door. The parking lot was well lit, so it didn't seem a problem. Cover was $12. Inside, the room was crowded, with the stage seats and tables all taken, and a number of people standing. I managed to find a seat at a reserved table near the stage, which I paid $20 to have for the night. My Coke was $3.50. The waitresses worked hard, covering the packed room and providing pretty good service despite the crowd.

There was a feature performer this night - porn star Romi Rain. Her stage performance was fine. To be honest, the first part was less interesting than most of the other dancers. It got a little more interesting later, with some simulated shenanigans with another dancer. She also got into the shower with a few dancers. Overall I didn't think too much of the feature performance, but I suppose it would be different if you were interested in the specific performer. She had a table set up for photos, lap dances and such between her performances (I think she did two; I was only there for one). The music, already quite loud, was almost unbearable during Romi's performance.

I had a very mixed reaction to the dancers. My first impression was very positive. Shortly after I arrived they ran a showcase thing where all (most) of the dancers walked across the stage and out into the crowd to try to sell dances at 2-for-40 with a free T-shirt. (Is that actually an incentive for anyone, or is it just the club trying to trick people into advertising for them?) As the dancers paraded by it felt like most of the dancers were gorgeous. As the night eased on, however, the dancers doing sets on stage, while still attractive, were perhaps a step below my first impression. During the next showcase my first impression returned and I realized that many of the hottest dancers weren't showing up on stage or spending much time circulating. I'm assuming that they were, unsurprisingly, busy with dances and VIPs. Even with the "disappointment" I'd say the dancer quality was pretty good. It would have been nice to see some of the stunners on stage or in a lap dance, though.
