Interesting

On a whim, I decided to drive down to Nogales and walk across the border into Mexico. I've only been to resort areas in Mexico before, so I was a little nervous. During the daylight hours, it felt pretty safe to me. There were a lot of pharmacies, convenience stores, souvenir shops, dentists, and places to eat. Everyone tried to lure me into their shop to spend money, but nothing too aggressive.

I wasn't too familiar with the area, so I stayed within several blocks closest to the border crossing. I didn't know my way around very well, but felt fairly safe and wasn't concerned about getting mugged or anything. I walked around for a while and finally found Boleiros, across the train tracks, but it was closed. I was told it didn't open until 5pm and my parking lot closed at 6pm, so I couldn't stay that long. There was a place called Eros nearby, but it wasn't a strip club. It was a massage parlor, or more likely a brothel. After a peak inside, I decided to venture on and search for a strip club that was open.

I finally found Obsession, which was back in the middle of town. I paid a $2 cover charge, tipped the door man $1, and went inside. It was dark inside and there was one woman dancing on stage. There were a few other customers spread out over various tables. The inside looked a little like someone's basement that was converted into a strip club. San Jose Guy talks about "underground Mexico table dancing circuits" and I imagine they look something like this.
