Like So-Co this place is either in decline or suffering a temporary setback. It is not as busy as it once was and it is starting to lose the one advantage it has over the other clubs in the area (better looking talent). It used to be I could come to Dooks for an impersonal pseudo-bigger-city club experience and get a reasonable grind from a slightly above average (if over tattooed) lady. The tattoos are still present, as is the grind, but slightly above average is getting harder to come by.

The club is pretty clean. It is also large (for the area) with three stages. On a busy night they will have a girl on each stage, and they rotate from stage to stage when the song changes. On slow nights or early in the evening they run one stage and one girl does two or three songs. Most are nude by the second song if that is what matters to you. They offer OK lappers for $25 a song (some nights they have 2-1 specials but I don't remember which). Like the bigger city clubs they aim to emulate, the songs in the lap dance area are cut to a precise 3 minutes (maybe 2:45 if you are a cynical bastard). They also have an overpriced VIP room where you pay for a block of time and can select the music you want. You don't have to see other customers getting lappers at the same time in VIP land, it's just you, you're over tattooed wiener jockey of choice and the eye in the sky.

I'll probably go back to spending more time at So-Co, but my all time favorite is there and she is quickly losing interest (in either me specifically or the profession generally) so maybe it's time to try Des Moines again. Or start crapping in my own backyard and go to Cedar Rapids. Or give up altogether and leave something for my kids to inherit.
