The Anti-Follies

I arrived about 7PM and it was very empty. I felt like I was interrupting an employee meeting. I only saw 3 girls on the floor and a fourth came down from upstairs. I assume that is where the VIP rooms are. I had not been here in about 7 years and nothing appears to have change with the layout.I was surprised how few customers where there. I swore there were more cars than people inside. I assume that their employees must park in front of the club along with the customers. I am not trying to sound too negative, but I am a frequent visitor to Follies and this place is the exact opposite of that. I was hoping it would pick up while I was there, but no such luck. One older (30 something) dancer with lots of ink danced for a customer by the stage while none of the other four dancers that occupied the place took to the stages. I remained at the bar and watch the mostly air dance. Follies, this is NOT. I downed my Bud Light and looked at the door. Hopefully this was just an off day and night and the place picks up better than it did this Tuesday between 7 and 8:15PM. I may be back but I am not sure when and.I am frankly not motivated to rush back. I guess even if Follies had not ruined me on what a great club could be, this was a lame evening. I have heard good things about Doll House. I will just have to find out when to arrive there. Like all clubs patrons would be advised to try and time your arrival for the moments when things are interesting. This visit for me was not one of those times.
