Win Some, Lose Most

Been a while since I've done the Providence circuit so I decided to treat myself; one's dollar used to go a lot further in Providence than clubs in CT (YMMV by a lot, read more). Sunday seems to be a big day for other clubs in the area as they were packed, but I easily found some room at Club Fantasies. Upon getting in (the metal detector was new to me, however, I stepped around it and no one said boo) I could see the upstairs was closed which was a huge bummer. It appeared there were about 8 or 9 dancers around the club, including the girl on stage. 2 were past the usual dancer retirement age (however, in my experience, these are also the gals that will give you the best bump'n'grind for the dollar), and aside from maybe the girl on stage the rest were maybe 6's. Beer is cheap enough still, so I settled in for March Madness. I did get approached by a nice young lady named Lauren and I decided to give her a chance. I got a very lackluster and mechanical LD (I tipped, $25 out my pocket) but she did try to upsell the private so I decided why not... I had time to kill and money to spare. Mistakes one and two committed in one go (don't tip for lackluster LD as it flags you as a mark, don't fall for the upsell). She takes me to the bar for the ticket to get a booth and I find I only have Jacksons left; I go to give this to the bartender so I can the right amount (130). I can't get the bartender's attention so she helps me out and I am now $10 poorer than planned (what, did I think I would get change back). Once in the private room I proceed to realize how GDP could be improved through I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISINTERESTED IN SUCH A MECHANICAL AND POOR GRIND ROUTINE IN MY LIFE! Ahem. Needless to say, after being the complete opposite of being satisfied she has the nerve to ask for another tip (evidently she thought my state was due to a good performance). She got a dollar and I distanced myself quickly. I hung out for another hour or so but she had soured it for me; ended up turning down two other girls whom I know have a lasting LD routine. I'll be back, but I need to remember my own hard learned lessons.
