A Let-Down As A Local

So I'm born and raised in this area (just across the river from Po-town) and have always known about Smiles, but had never been. There's more than enough action on my side of the river, but one night I was bored, and figured, "what the hell". What a mistake. This place absolutely sucks. It is part of a strip mall (haha, no pun intended) which is fine except that parking is a joke. I ended up in a muddy rock pile along the side of the building. Upon entering, the first thing that caught my eye, was the exposed plywood stage, and plastic lawn chairs. Really? The customers looked like they walked in off the street following an AA meeting. The girls were actually decent which surprised me, and all very friendly. They approached very easily and low pressure offering private dances which were not badly priced $25, $50, $100 respectively. I bought in a 15 min private with "Diamond" and behind the curtain we went. The only problem was that behind the curtain was a small faux-leather couch in a plywood - carpeted booth that was literally 2ft off the main stage floor. Several times I could see customers peering through the side openings in the curtain. Not that they'd see anything interesting. The dance was topless which is fine and full contact which was awesome, but Diamond seemed very distracted and more concerned with what she might have been missing out on the floor. The club opens at 8pm and closes at 2am, so my guess is that it will almost always be crowded. Not a bad thing for a club, but it also usually means that the girls are in a "get it now, get alot" mode. Almost like they're scrambling for the dollar bills. So back to Ulster and Orange county I went with my jeans full of blue balls. Oh well. Live to fight another day.
