An Experience to Say the Least...
I'm fairly new to strip clubs and a male friend had been taking trying to take me to a couple to enjoy the novelty of them. I had been to Shade several weeks prior and really enjoyed some of the dancing there. Despite having minimal experience with girly bars I knew my Friday night at Chez Pierre was pretty sad. When we came in around 11:30pm we were the only ones there at the time. No girls were dancing and everyone was just sitting around. It was incredibly awkward. I was surprised there was a cover charge for women but whatever, I had high hopes. But to pay $15 cover between two people and no girls were dancing? Even has a few more people came in there wasn't much happening. My friend complained and was told by management it wasn't busy enough to ask the girls to dance, but who would want to stay in that kind of atmosphere? It was pretty much a private-dance only kind of night. When my friend and I went to Shade we didn't go with the intention of getting private dances but we enjoyed the stage shows so much we got some afterwards, that's the benefit of having stage dances.
My friend and I stayed hoping things would turn around, but after an hour and a half and no real performances I was bored out of my mind. Occasionally the girls would get up on stage and practice but the showmanship was nothing compared to what I had experienced at Shade (which by the way, was not busy during my visit but still tried to entertain their existing customers). The girls were really friendly and cute, but I got the impression they were about as bored as I was. My friend spent the better part of the night apologizing to me over how disappointing the venue was. I had to tell him it was still kind of entertaining but in all the wrong ways ("It's kind of funny how bad this is"). It really didn't encourage me to want to try anymore strip clubs with my friend in future.
